TailwindResume V2.0.0: AI Chat Edit and New Token Billing

TailwindResume V2.0.0 is live. This is the largest update since the English site ran on the 1.x line. AI, billing, the editor, the examples library, and the site-wide look all move up together.

New: AI chat edit

This is the headline feature. You can now change your resume by talking to AI:

Where to find it: the robot icon in the bottom-right of the resume editor opens the chat panel
Say what you want: for example, “Make the second work experience highlight management skills.” You do not have to edit line by line
Streaming replies: AI writes in real time, so you can see the draft as it lands
Preview cards: each change shows the section name and a content preview. Apply replaces that whole section and auto-saves. Dismiss throws the change away
Multi-turn history: keep asking if the first pass is off. Reopening the panel restores the conversation (kept for 24 hours). There is also a clear-chat button

New token billing rate

AI is cheaper across the board: you are charged 1/10 of actual API usage (it used to be half price). Typical consumption:

One more time: AI does not require membership. It runs on tokens. Signup still gifts 5000 tokens, and members still get 50000 tokens per month.

AI generate is now prompt-first

The AI Resume Assistant is prompt-first: enter a job title and start generating, then sign in. You can try it before you create an account.

Upload parse shows live progress

On the upload page, upload a PDF or Word resume and AI converts it into TailwindResume’s standard format. Progress is a timeline plus a live terminal-style log, so every step is visible.

Examples library rebuilt

The examples library drops the old category grouping for a more flexible search:

Tag cloud: multi-select tags
Search: press Enter or click the button
Sort: recommended (hotScore) / most used / newest
Language filter
Pagination

The old category groups are gone.

Editor changes

Preview scales to the container: the preview shrinks or grows with the pane, so you can see a full page at any window size
Narrow-screen toggle: below 992px, a FAB switches between the form and the preview
Style drawer stays open: “Modify Resume Style” is a non-modal drawer. The preview stays visible while you tweak styles

Lifetime membership at a permanent $99 promo

Lifetime membership is now a standing $99 promo (was $199). This is the regular price, not a countdown or “limited time” offer. The pricing page also has an FAQ covering refunds, free membership for students and open-source contributors, electronic invoices, and tokens.

Site-wide visual language

We unified the visual language across the site. Pages now share a consistent light hero, so moving between them feels like one product.

Complete Custom Control

In addition to preset options, users can fully customize various spacing parameters:

Section Spacing: Controls vertical spacing between different modules
Item Spacing: Controls spacing between different items within the same module
Description Spacing: Controls internal padding of description text
Line Height: Controls line spacing of text, affecting overall reading experience

Through these fine-grained control options, users can theoretically have complete control over the entire resume's spacing layout, achieving true personalized customization.
